Description
Nitrofurans, which are effective against a wide range of bacteria, include furazolidone, nitrofurazone, nitrofurantoin and related compounds. The food and drug administration has prohibited all uses of nitrofuran drugs in food-producing animals because they pose a public health risk. Evidence indicates that the drugs may induce carcinogenic residues in animal tissues.
Use Principles
Furantoin Metabolite ELISA Kit is an indirect competitive enzyme-labeled immunoassay. The Furantoin Metabolite antigen is precoated on the wells. The precoated antigen compete the Furantoin Metabolite antibody (Antibody Solution) with Furantoin Metabolite in the sample, Furantoin Metabolite antibody binds to the Furantoin Metabolite Enzyme Conjugate. After the color development of TMB Substrate, the absorbance value of the sample is negatively correlated with the Furantoin Metabolite contained in it. Compared with the standard curve and multiplied by its corresponding dilution factor, the content of Furantoin Metabolite in the sample can be calculated.
